This phone became highly popular due to its innovative feature of a horizontally rotating screen. The commercial starring singer SE7EN was a huge hit, firmly embedding the term 'Garobonneung' in the public consciousness. Subsequently, the term expanded beyond just a phone feature to also refer to difficult exercise movements, such as holding one's body horizontally on a pull-up bar.

'Garobonneung' originally derived from the 'screen rotation (Pivot)' core feature of the Samsung Anycall SCH-V500 mobile phone.
