It quickly spread to popular platforms like Naver News social comments. The meme has consistently been used and maintained its popularity during major sports events such as the Rollstar Games, LoL World Championship, Premier12, Olympics, and Asian Games. Since November 2018, it has evolved into various forms, including being used with Daredevil composite images, and remains actively used today.

Jumo Deurip is an internet meme that expresses extreme joy and pride when one's group or favorite entity achieves outstanding results or success. This feeling is likened to a pleasant state of intoxication, as if by alcohol or drugs, and is often used in phrases like "Kyah~! Jumo! Another bowl of Gukppong here!" The term 'Gukppong' (국뽕) originally carried a derogatory connotation, implying that Koreans were "intoxicated" (like on drugs), denying reality, and blindly praising Korea. However, with the popularity of Jumo Deurip, its meaning has expanded to simply represent a positive expression of a feel-good situation.

Jumo Deurip is actively used primarily among sports fans, especially baseball and e-sports enthusiasts. Originating in online communities like DC Inside Baseball Gallery (Ya-gal) and Overseas Football Gallery (Hae-chung-gal), it spread to popular platforms such as Naver News comments. It is widely used by men and women of all ages who feel pride in the success of a specific country or group.
