'Jjangjjangman' is a suffix used to express that someone or something is the best or outstanding, in a somewhat childish yet clear manner. It is primarily used in the form of "000 Jjangjjangman" to convey praise or admiration for a subject. The most likely theory for its origin is from a temporary ID 'Doljukjjangjjangman' in a classic game online community. There are two theories regarding this user: either they loved the game 'Doljuk' so much that they coined the phrase themselves, or other users started using it to tease them for their clumsy gameplay. The meme later gained widespread popularity across the internet after a recurring post titled 'Nasus Jjangjjangman' became popular in the 'League of Legends' gallery. It is used with a similar meaning to the previously popular 'Kingwangjjang' and is flexibly adapted; for example, it can be changed to 'Jjangjjanggirl' for females (e.g., 'Riven Jjangjjanggirl') or 'Jjangjjanggom' (gom meaning bear) for animals (e.g., 'Volibear Jjangjjanggom').

This meme initially gained popularity within gaming communities, such as the classic game gallery and the League of Legends gallery, primarily among young male gamers.
